Privacy Policy

This policy explains the limited personal data that Joujik Terminal (the “Software”), operated by Dor Amihai (“Joujik”, “we”) from Israel, processes — essentially only what’s needed to activate your license. Joujik Terminal does not collect or transmit the contents of your terminal, your commands, your files, or any usage analytics. The Software runs locally on your Mac.

1. What we collect, and when

Only during the one-time online activation (and during deactivation / device reset) does the Software contact our server. At that moment we receive:

A hashed machine identifier (SHA-256 of your Mac’s hardware UUID)	Node-locking — so one token activates one machine. We never receive the raw hardware UUID.

Terms version & acceptance time	Record that you accepted the Terms of Use
IP address (transient)	Standard server logs / abuse prevention; not used to profile you
Email address	Provided by the payment provider with your purchase, for support

2. Why we process it (legal basis)

Under the EU GDPR and Israeli privacy law, we process this data to perform our contract with you (delivering and licensing the Software) and on the basis of our legitimate interest in preventing license fraud and unauthorized sharing. You accept the Terms at activation.

3. Payment data

Purchases are handled by our authorized third-party payment provider, which processes the payment and any taxes. Joujik never sees your full card details. The provider processes your payment data under its own privacy policy.

4. Where it’s stored & for how long

Activation records are stored on our server (AWS, EU region) for as long as your license exists, so we can support deactivation, device transfer, and anti-fraud. You can ask us to delete them (see §6); note that deletion may deactivate the license.

5. Sharing

We do not sell your data. We share it only with the processors needed to run the service (the store / Merchant of Record and our hosting provider) and where required by law.

6. Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data, and object to or restrict its processing, by emailing service@joujik.com. We respond within a reasonable time and in line with applicable law.

7. Children

The Software is not directed at children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their data.

8. Changes

We may update this policy; the version and date above will change. Material changes will be reflected here.
